Description

The plummer block housings series GOS/GOF are housings for high speeds and/or temperatures. These housings are equipped with oil splash ring lubrication and mainly used in fan assemblies. GOS/GOF plummer block housings are manufactured from Grey Cast Iron GG 25. Housings from GGG 40 or GS 45 are also available. The oil splash ring is made from steel. The sealing of these housings is guaranteed by labyrinth seals. Where used as an end bearing (Arrangement A) a closed end cover from grey cast iron is supplied instead of the labyrinth seal for one side. Alternatively the housings can be used for floating or locating bearings. Air vents and oil level gauges are supplied with the housings. The only difference between GOS and GOF housings are their different overall dimensions and the construction of connecting the upper and lower parts of the housings. On request the plummer block units series GOF can be supplied with oil circulating lubrication designated as GUF
